Ok... I know i should have got a v-8.... but really, 5 hp and 25 ft lbs of torque difference between a 4.2 and the 4.6? I'm looking at either a cold air system and either a 3' single or 2.5" dual exhaust. I'm not too sure about a chip (heard that it's good for diesels... not much change for gas)

While a chip can change shift points in the transmission and mildly modify engine air fuel ratio's. think of an engine as an air pump, the more air you get going in and going out, the more horsepower you make. exhaust, intake, and rear end gearing are the quickest way to improve performance

Save you money , you wont notice any change . Some times the bigger exhaust fools the computer and your gas milage may drop. The cold air system is like a sugar pill , you think its helping but things didnt change .

if you want to mess with the computer controlled engine then you need a performance mechanic------------not this forum on line--you jack with all the presets from the factory and you get a screwed-up engine that wlll not serve you and act crazy in weather changes......
