it should be on the driver side, under the dash, take a flash light and look up, you will see a big black smooth box with a small white "t" on the front edge. push the t up, and the fuse block should fold down against the firewall..

I use to own one of these cars when they first came out. I'm almost certain there was a recall on the heaters. They tend to just quit like yoou said. It all in the switches. You'll probably have to take into the dealer and have them check it out. I would also probably search for the recalls on this car if I were you to see if this car was updated or not. You might be able to get them to do it for nothing if the recall has never been done to this car.

In the V6, it's in the engine compartment, next to the air box. I doubt the 4-cyl version would be any different.
