I have heard that there is a kill switch for the fuel but I can't find the manual to look it up. Or could it just be the fuel pump?

It might be your alternator if starts but doesn't keep going after it starts because the alternator need to keep suppling power after it is started too

The kill switch is probably located around the back on one of the sides. It only cuts off, if the vehicle has been hit hard in the rear. I would check and see if you have any spark to the plugs. I would also check for spark at your coil. Pull your fuel line and have some one crank your motor to see if you are getting gas. put a coke bottle at the end of the line you disconnect so the fuel will go into it.

It's probably the fuel pump. Late 90s, early 2000s chevy truck fuel pumps are notorious for failing. If it's not the fuel pump check the fuel pump relay or check the voltage drop at the fuel pump. If you discover it's not a fuel issue check the ignition module. Any of your local auto parts stores will check it for free!

the kill switch on the pump only engages if you are in an accident or you jar the car pretty hard...could be lots of things like fuel filter, spark plugs... lots of stuff
