Can you avoid being killed or injured in a car crash if you are a defensive driver, remain vigilant, and is always in your mirrors watching out for other dangerous drivers while driving on the roads? Or is there just no way to escape a dangerous driver? Also does seat belts help to protect you? I ask this question because I am going to begin taking drivers training lessons soon and would just like to know. I'd appreciate it alot.

My husband insists on having 4WD because we live in NNY and get plenty of snow, but I could care less. I guess I don't understand the difference between the two. Is one better than the other? Help me find a clue please!

My car was towed in N. Cal around Labor Day..the signs posted were not legal according to the California Vehicle Code...according to recent news reports I have heard on similar issues, I should be due back the fee I was charged for towing. I am wondering if anyone knows the best/fastest/easiest way to investigate recovering said charges. Has anyone done this sucessfully before? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I own a 92 pontiac bonneville SSE v6. While driving in interstate AC started to blow hot air, turned it off for .5 h, seemed ok afterwards. Next day I noticed squeaky noise, compressor's pully seems to stop for a sec and then goes on. AC off, sound still present. AC on, cold air. Mechanic said compressor needs to be replaced. AC IS cooling now, only noise is present, not loud though, but I can see belt stop for a sec. Could it be something else goin on?

I recently purchased a 2000 Jeep Wrangler, and I'd like to find some cool floor mats - not the boring, plain mats, but something fun and colorful. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

my step dad has good credit and said he will co-sign to help me get a used car. I went to a dealership and they said that they will not accept an out of state co-signer. Are all dealerships this way?

The cable will pay out and the spare hangs on the T-bar that secures it to the car. I accessed the nut under the carpet and cranked it with the lug wrench. That extended the cable under the vehicle about 2 feet but did not lower the spare more than a few inches. The spare hangs down about 5 inches but it won't slide down the cable any farther. The cable is payed out about 2 feet beyond the T-bar. I can retract and pay out the cable but the T-bar will not slide down the cable any farther. There isn't enough slack to turn the T-bar and slide it through the spare. I have yanked on it as hard as I can. help!

I have a 69' Charger with a 383, New edelbrock carb and intake, slitely modified stock heads, headers, and dual exhaust. My problem is that when I go give it some gas, it always "coughs" up through the carb. When I say cough I mean that when I give it gas, a small amount of oil and crap come back up through the carb, into the air cleaner. On occasion this is so violent that it causes the engine to stall. What could be causing this? I have put a smaller carb than I had on the car originally (750cfm to 600cfm), and that helped a little, but not too much. I have heard that it could be weak spark or something of that nature, which could also be linked to its unlikelyhood of starting on cold mornings. Any input on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!!
