I have jus put a new bodykit on my Toyota supra and it doesnt look very good with a number plate..so i was just wanderin if i can drive without one??

Btw ive noticed that quite a few motorbikes havent got a front number plate so how comes they can get away with it??

It all depends on which state you live in. The laws regarding front license plates are different in every state.

It's only illegal to do it in a state that requires a front plate. Motorbikes are not cars, and they have different rules.

http://mrtraffic.com/frontplate.htm will tell you the list of states that only require one plate. If you live in a state not on the list, you need a front plate and can be ticketed without one.

I don't know the laws in the UK, but here in Massachusetts if you are issued 2 number plates, they BOTH must be displayed. If your registration is "grandfathered" (like mine) and you were issued one plate, then it goes on the rear.

Rumor has it in Ma. the front plates were issued so police with "laser guns" can aim at the reflective plate to gauge the speed & even simultaneously photograph you.

it is illegal in california without the front license plate in cars or trucks. some police officers don"t take the law seriously unless the driver piss him or her off. front plate are useful for crime scene, camera at the traffic light, and driver can right down the plate in case of accident or report to police officers

It depends which state ur in Pa. doesn't have to have front license plates.
