No, if you bring a car in from another country with foreign plates on you are given I think 28 days to change them. And to register your vehicle in Britain.
That is if you are intending living here.

Yes you can get foreign plates - but not legal to put them on a British car. How would that deter joyriders??? Are you just trying to avoid tax?

Yes you can get eg. French plates. Just move to France, convert your car to French spec and register it. The paperwork is a nightmare. Of course the French reg is only legal for visits to uk and after 6 months you have to undo it all. NOTE if you are trying to avoid tickets remember they can be sent to any Eu contry with bailiffs involved.

Not possible.

If you bring a car from abroad, and it has foreign plates, they have to be changed within six months, to English style plates.
