Go to wal mart and buy the correct size battery with the highest cold cranking amps (cca) that you can get. wal mart batteries work as well as the higher priced ones. You have a selection of warranty periods. Don't think you have to have some high priced battery from a dealer or whatever. I been using wal mart for years with no problems.

Your manual will tell you how many cca (cold cranking amps) it needs.Get one with at least that or a little bit more.Don't go below there #. If you change it wear rubber gloves and glass.Make sure the cable ends are cleaned and clean battery terminal also.(baking soda helps)Little hint If you are due for an inspection on this drive it for a week after you install the new battery. The computer needs to reprogram it self otherwise it may fail.

I had a vehicle I worked on That done the same thing. However all we did was leave it sit overnight and it started the next day just fine. When i read up on it later the manual said it takes an hour for the alarm system to reset after being set off before it will read the chip in the key. Don't know if this will help though.

Go to your local auto parts store and ask for help. Depending on what you want and need they can point you in the best direction.

If you only want a battery the rule is one cca per a cubic inch of engine size.

Try Ultima Batteries, They work well with SUV's and can be found at local AutoZone's. They have a unique 6-pack design.

Anything but a Die Hard or a Motorcraft. Those are the worst.
From experience with both.
