Not only does it not go past 4k rpm, but the rpm bounces back down, if you will, when more gas is given. I've looked at these: http://www.msdignition.com/mari_3.htm Will they do the job? Are they compatable? If so, how do I install?

What is the difference between the fuel pump on a 2 door Blazer vs. a 4 door for the 2000 model. I noticed the part numbers are different and so is the price...the 4 door is $80 cheaper.

My boyfriend has a 2002 Ford Focus. He is trying to replace the alternator. He has it unscrewed and everything but it just won't come out. The book he has on the car isn't any help.
So, how can he get the old one out of his car?

I took a 2000 Chrysler cirrus in to get back brakes which I'm pretty sure the back brakes had never been serviced and there were a bunch of problems with it all legit things that needed to be replaced.

The thing is on the bill they charged me what seems like a lot to replace brake drums, I was just curious what is the most you would expect to pay to replace brake drums even if they were ripping you off slightly.

i really like the manuals but i heard with BMW's u have to be very pro to get a good performance using their manual gear box, for example, a normal driver won't get from 0 to 62 in the advertised 5.5 seconds with a manual gear box. Why is that?

I'm sure glad the 1997 Dodge Caravan Chrysler 3.0 V6 was designed with maintenance in mind. Is there any other way, besides moving the engine back, other than removing the power steering pump, to get the motor mount bracket assembly off so you can get to the timing belt covers? What about the power steering pump pulley? Can it be removed?

I have a 99 Dodge Intrepid and it started running hot I left it there and had it towed to my house. It had no hose leaks and was still full of water. We need a new water pump and also fouund out that we need a tenison pulley on it. After fixing it I have oil coming through my radiator but no water in my oil. Everything was put back right. What could be the problem?

My car's engine malfunction light has been coming on, and I pulled the code by turning my key. The code P-1684 came up (it means the battery has been disconnected within the last 50 starts, which it hasn't been). What could this mean? I have replaced the engine, new fuel pump, starter, wire harness and had a tune up. I don't know what else to do with this car, or what is causing the code to come up.

The other day, I was sitting at a redlight. When I went to go (as the engine speed increased) I noticed my lights got brighter. The engine also ran rougher/idled low.I figured maybe these two "deals" are related. So, after I "geeked up" the idlespeed I , with motor running (with a fluke digital multi meter) checked the voltage across the battery terminals. I was reading 14 volts. Is this acceptable?

If my motor was running to low of a speed, would that make my lights go brighter when the engine increases?

what does this sound like?

2001 Saab 9-5, V-6 Turbo with 166,860 miles

Alternator went bad, had to jump it a few times then water pump started leaking so I parked it for a few weeks. Had the alternator, water pump and timing belt replaced. I also replaced the battery and life was good... well sorta...

The car, will drive along just purring away when all of a sudden the warning light (red triangle) comes on along with the brake light, the ABS light and the TCS off light and the speedo quits working. All other gauges are within norm. I can drive for a while, might be 5 minutes or 4 hours and then lights all go off and and the speedo starts working again... all by themselves.

I'm guessing some sort of limp home mode...

Hot or cold, overnight or all day out and about, this seems to be a mood thing.

There are no OBDII fault codes.

Any help? Idea?

What do you think about your co-workers that communte to work on a motorcycle? Do you think they are poor or weird because they ride a motorcycle to work. Do you thing they look weir with all the gears that they put on?

Just really curious about what others think. Thanks!

Hi. I have a 91 honda accord. I have to drive 52 miles everyday (to and from school). I am trying to figure out how often I need to get gas so if any car aficionados know, could you tell me how many miles I get per gallon and how many gallons a 91 honda accord holds. As of now, I fill up my car every three days putting about 10-14 dollars in.

1984 GL1200 Interstate.
The guy says it runs fine, and is in good condition. But it has 82,000 miles. I have heard that Gold Wings can go to the 200,000 mile range, so I tend to think that because it's a GoldWing, it shoudl be ok. But also, it seems there are TONS of 'Wings on the market with 80,000 miles... is that when the bad Wings die or something? Should I buy? Is the mileage bad or good? What would you pay for it? $1k? $2k? $4k?

It's only happened a handful of times, but every once in a while (3 times today) the car wont start on the first try.. It just makes a "click" noise and then nothing. I take the key out and try again and then it starts up fine. I'm absolutely no handy man when it comes to cars, So I'm not even sure where to start looking. And the battery is housed under the Air filter box (wtf?) so I can't really get to it. Thanks for any help yall can give!
