My car's engine malfunction light has been coming on, and I pulled the code by turning my key. The code P-1684 came up (it means the battery has been disconnected within the last 50 starts, which it hasn't been). What could this mean? I have replaced the engine, new fuel pump, starter, wire harness and had a tune up. I don't know what else to do with this car, or what is causing the code to come up.

Read your instructions how to get more than one code to come up. Since the odometer can only read one at a time, you must be able to pull the second code. You can also purchase an ODB II Code reader at Wal-Mart for $69 to $109 depending on how good you want.

You need to start the engine 50 times and get an OBDll scanner and turn off the light and clear the code, If you just put the engine in and haven't reached the 50 start reset limit then you can Waite or get a scanner and clear it from the computer. Good Luck and God Bless
