I consider myself as a curtious driver, it does really p me off too why on earth do they feel the need to stay in the fast lane, it causes so much trouble on the roads and is dangerous cos many times i have overtaken in the inside lane because they just wont move over,,,,,,i think these people should be banned from driving

How do you hog the right lane? If someone is going too slow for you just pass them!
As for me, I think I'm a pretty good driver. I've never been in an accident and I haven't had any tickets. I like to drive on the highways more than back roads.

I drive as though i am sitting my driving test again only with 20 years experience. I am careful, considerate, patient, courteous, confident and absolutely love driving. I always predict that everyone is going to make a mistake - that way i am even more careful. I stick to the speed limit as much as i can and stay in the inside lane on the motorway - no lane hogging for me.
Saying all that I'd love to do some rally driving!!

Me too. I hate drivers that pootle along at 30-40 mph on a main road and who are oblivious to the dozen or so cars in a cortège behind them. They won't speed up to a reasonable pace or move over, forcing some cars who may not have that much acceleration to try to overtake and cause an accident.
I drive a Porsche Carrera and it's easier for me to pass these 'snails' but you should see the looks they give me when I am forced to overtake 2 or more similar pootlers behind them to get past.
Done wrenching..I hope you are an American and that you aren't one of these prats that drive at 70mph in the outside lane of a motorway simply to "stop these people exceeding the speed limit."

Normally I'm a very patient person, but, behind the wheel of a car, I like to get from A to B as quickly a possible. Thus, I get very impatient with drivers who, by being, in my opinion, extremely DOPEY, prevent me from doing this.
I detest, with a passion, the middle-lane-hoggers. If there's not much motorway traffic and there's some fool doing this, I approach them quickly on the inside lane, swing suddenly across behind them to the overtaking lane, then swing immediately back to the inside lane, right across their bows. Sometimes this then makes them move over, in which case, that's a result.

It's OKAY (at least in the U S where left lane is passing lane) to hog the right lane...NOT the left!

I used to be a driving instructor so I can be very precise and law abiding when I need to be. I don't hog the right land on motorways but when i get the chance I love to 'welly it' around the corners on country lanes and bomb up the motorway.
