Hi, I have an Acura RL (2000) and my front struts were "jammed"- this happened when the car was serviced. They said- the wear and tear plus the strain of being hung up for servicing did the damage and the struts were now rigid.

The car was horrible to drive initially and the ride was very very bumpy. All the mechanics said the struts needed replacement.

I drove the car for 10 days and now the ride seems better, smoother and less bumpy. It is bad only when I go over a road bump.

Why would there be an improvement? Have the jammed struts become a little better now? Can anyone explain this?

What should I do?

Okay my boss has me searching around for I don't even know what and neither does he, but i have to find it!!! He has a red 59 corvette and he's telling me he needs the chrome trim piece in the middle of the seats replaced. I guess i have two questions, does anyone know where i can find pictures of this kind of vehicle to where it might show the back of the seats (all the interior views i find are of the dash and everything, i need pics of the seats so i can see that middle part) so i can know what this piece he's talking about looks like? Also if anyone may know of good websites to fine some older corvetter parts?

I have been looking, one claimed that it is thicker, so can provide better seal and also increase compression pressure. Is it true?

Yesterday, while driving in the mountains, my wife and I saw a woman walking up the right-hand lane, facing oncoming traffic. We immediately started discussing which side is legal, and/or appropriate, The woman walking was not on the road, but there wasn't much of a shoulder. Thank you.

Does anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong with my mustang?
During the summer it over heats if it is over 90 degrees. It will overheat about 45 minutes into driving and if you wait 2 hours it will start back up. I think it might be the thermostat but im not sure. I have flushed the radiator about 3 times in one week and it didnt make a difference. Any other ideas?

Also, during the winter if its under 32 degrees it wont start in the morning. Once the sun comes out and hits it for a little bit it will start up. It is only in the morning when it is bitter cold outside. For a while if I put a heater on the gas line where it meets the engine it would start after a few minutes of heating it but that doesnt work anymore for some reason. I thought the gas line could be freezing, but I know there is no water in the gas because I have put dehydrator in the gas tank about 4 different times in about a two week span. Any ideas or answers are greatly appreciated.

When I turn left, its like it loses its power steering ability and I really have to add force to get it to turn, this started happening after I went to Firestone and got new tires and a tie rod, and how long is it save to even drive it before anything more damaging occurs because I am in school and home is 6hrs away and I refuse to get it done anywhere around my school now that I dont trust Firestone!

I have a 2004 Mazda 6. It is a great car, wonderful to drive. But it does have a problem that is something of a mystery. Every so often, upon startup, the engine will rev all on it's own for about 20 seconds and then it levels out and is good to go. The needle goes up to the 2 on the RPM scale, then back down to the 1/2 mark, up down, up down, up down, then levels out. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

I have a Mercury 125hp outboard saltwater motor on my boat. I went to use the boat yesterday for the first time in a few weeks. The motor started up with out a problem, but once I got out of the canal and went to accellerate, the boat did not pick up speed and plan off.

Any help on what might cause this would be appreciated.

I have had this pickup sitting around for a year. I am now trying to get it going and one last problem is still puzzling me. When it sits for more than 3-4 hours I will have to spray starting fluid in the carburetor in order for it to start. It will start just fine right after that. It doesn't have an electric fuel pump, I have changed the hoses and clamps, the carburetor has been rebuilt, and it has good pressure from the fuel pump once it is running. It just seems like it looses something the longer the engine sits. Any suggestions?
