I think u should go the patent office first. As for the next step, I don't know how to do. I advise u to have a try on a site called bikerkiss. There are many motorcycle enthusisats there. I think they will give u a good advice.

I would go to a patent lawyer first. Getting a patent protects you from others stealing your idea. Then you could try to make and sell it yourself or sell a license to a motorcycle clothing manufacture.

You could send me one for field testing and an honest, intelligent evaluation with suggestions for improvement.
Otherwise there are a couple of options that I'm aware of. One, you could take your idea to a manufacturer and try to sell it to them. Or you could have it made and start selling yourself. Slowly at first. Maybe trade shows, eBay, etc. Try sending it to motorcycle publications for review. (Of course you could also send it to me to work out any bugs before you do that!) Ask them first, naturally, if they will do that.
