My daughter has a Ford Fiesta, the type with the rounded back. I was in it with her the other day and it didn't feel right at all. It was rocking and swaying on the front end especially at low speed. I have had the wheels off but can't find anything wrong which leads me to the suspension. What are the best checks hat I can do myself to see if it is the suspension beore I pay a garage a fortune to get it fixed. I have told her not to drive it until the problem is resolved.

I was born and raised in Cape Cod Ma. I've spent my whole life living by the sea and couldn't imagine living any other way. I have finished my military commitment and have now decided to make my living as a Merchant Mariner. My dream is to save every penny for the next 5 yrs and use that money as a down payment for a Sailboat. I was thinking along the line's of a 50 to 55 FT Bristol or something similar. Then, I'd like to live on her whenever I'm not out to sea and keep her moored year round somewhere down on the Cape and Island's. My main concern is to whether or not this is financially feasable. Would my boat payment's and mooring fee's, be fairly comprable to that of making mortgage payment's on a house? Could anyone give me their personal experience's with this? Thanks.

Hello, it has over 200,000 miles, but the owner says it is in "great shape" any comments? they are looking for 800.00 and I need a car to go to work in the pm. NOT my primary vehicle, but if I have a clear service record, and the major wear parts have been reparied/replaced, is this a car I should even look at? any and all comments would be welcome, after all 800 dollars is 800 dollars. thanks,

I have a 1985 ford Ltd midsize stationwagon. I was getting into the car the other day, and accidently put my house keys on the dash . Somehow they dropped into the heater vent on the dash. I heard a noise and they were gone. I have tried putting a magnet down the vent to retrieve them. I dismanteled the dash, with no success. Where do you think they could be in the heating system on that car.?
Thanks for your advice.

It worked for a couple of days with the heater on, but now it doesn’t. Also you have to add more anti-freeze every 1-2 days. Since I don't see any visible leak then I am guessing that the problem is a blown head gasket or leak in the manifold, but I thought that manifold leaks would leak out of the engine, unlike a head gasket. But I also thought that when a head gasket blows you usually lose a lot of power. The check engine light came on and it said it was because of a miss fire in cylinder 3. So don’t' see how that is related to the overheating. So is there a good away to see if the head gasket is blown or not?

Thanks,

Brad

Okay, so I kinda accidentally shattered the rear side window of my manager's van. It's about 10-15 years old, but I have to pay for it. About how much do you think a side window for a van would cost me...(considering I have to pay for it)?

I asked a question about my starter 2 days ago. i got a lot of answers, THANKS, but got nothing resolved. "Motorcycle fell and hit the right side on the sidewalk, and now it wont start up. It has a full tank, but want make a noise. Lights, horn, and everything else seems to be working." Apparently it doesnt have a kill switch. All wires appear to be intact. Battery is new, seems fine. It has been no less than 4 days since the "acciedent", and I have tried to start it at least once a day. It seems to make absolutely no atempt to start when I try. I dont see any fuses out, and has a full tank of gas. No clue what to do next, but i have tried everything suggested. Please help!!!

Is it the look/style of the bike?
Is it because it's only 883 cc? I was told you can bore it out and make it a 1200, and the only difference between an 883 and a 1200 is the amount of chrome.
I was just wondering why some people view the Sportster 883 as a girls' bike.

I recently had my 1984 Honda Magna apart for some work. Upon putting things back together I found excessive drag in the front brakes. On the test ride the front brakes locked up completely. When applying the brake lever the pressure seems to build in the lines and not release. After a few squezees their is so much pressure that the brake lever will no longer move. I have had both calipers professionally cleaned and the problem persists.

So I just changed two different tires. I switched out a rear sand tire with a regular tire on one of my bikes, and on the other I replaced the tube in the front tire, however I keep running into the same exact problem on both tires with the bead not seating correctly when I reinflate.

I watched two different how to videos, and both of them the bead seats right up. Heres what I know I'm doing right.
-They are the correct size tire
-The tube is not twisted
- The rim lock (on rear tire) is not locked
-the valve is not tightened
-I've got the tire lubed up good

For some reason, no matter how many times or different ways I try, the bead never seats correctly when I go to inflate it. On one side the bead line is still slightly tucked into the rim, on the other side the bead is bulging out further than it should. I've even tried prying the one side out and tucking the other in while I inflate, but no luck. I've tried about 15 times on each tire. How can I fix this?
