Partially plug the exhaust and continue to drive it under high demand situations.
Or stick a water hose in the end and fill the entire system with water. The water will fill the cylinders that have an exhaust valve open thereby filling the engine with water.

Cram a potato inside the exhaust, either the potato will blow out or the exhaust system will blow.
