As my wife was pulling down the passenger side sun visor, there was a soft snapping noise and since then the visor will not stay up. I removed the visor and tried replacing it, but that didn't fix it (that would have been great). I don't know if it has a spring mechanism or something else, but I would like to avoid a trip to the dealership for something like this. Not a big deal, but any help is appreciated.

I got a 1988 LTD Crown Victoria from my grandparents in decent condition. The bad thing is, it gets 13 miles to the gallon and in these times I can't be running out of fuel all the time.

How do I go about making this car more fuel economic?

Something is wrong with the pulley in my car, it needs to be replaced and the part is not readily available. It's squealing really bad and it makes me nervous driving it like this. Basically, I want to know if it's safe to drive this thing while I'm waiting on the part, and what can go wrong, and what I should look out for.

anyone else have this problem? I've taken it to the dealer and a separate mechanic and no one can find the problem as it only seems to happen when nobody's looking (except me!).
The car stalls when idling at a stop light and when I turn the ignition off there is a clicking sound and the lights go very dim and flicker very fast. The battery is good and all visible connections are solid. Sometimes it runs fine, without a glitch. Very frustrating. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

It says in FAR 61.159 that you need at least 250 hours P1 but it also states that this can include 250 hours as P1 under supervision i.e. co-pilot time as handling pilot. I emailed the FAA and they said it needs to be "proper" P1 time i.e. captain.
Has anybody mamaged to get an ATP with less than 250 hours as commander?

I have a Pontiac G6 GT Coupe, when I'm driving on the highway I usually average around 75 to 80 mph. As soon as my speedometer hits 80mpg my car starts making a rythematic low and high humming noises. The only sound I could compare it to is when your on an airplane and at cruising height, all you hear are the rythematic humming of the engines...low humming, then high humming.... My question I guess is this, Is this normal?

I've always wanted to build a car or motorcycle from the frame up, but I don't have much experience. So I figured I might start with a dirt bike. Is this something someone with little experience can tackle? Where do I start looking for the frame and guts? Is there helpful websites or books I should check into?

In this picture it is labeled as #2....It is known as a "Sleeve" (and its part number is: 210-352-00-43). I did not use it when installing my new control arm...Can someone tell me, what is a sleeve used for...is it really necessary since when i put the bolts into place on the car it feels very secure already.

How can they issue me registration over the phone? I'm located in Michigan and the local office has a different price then what I was quoted over the phone. Over the phone I pay $168, the office said it would be $330. I don't feel uncomfortable getting insurance over the phone but looks like I may have to. Is this okay to do and has anyone else done this before?
