In this picture it is labeled as #2....It is known as a "Sleeve" (and its part number is: 210-352-00-43). I did not use it when installing my new control arm...Can someone tell me, what is a sleeve used for...is it really necessary since when i put the bolts into place on the car it feels very secure already.

It is the sleeve that goes into the bushing and prevents the bolt from A: tearing up the inside of the bushing and B: prevents you from over tightening the nut down and crushing the bushing. Yes you need it or you'll eat up the bushing. If you don't have it you might be able to find one to replace it at your local parts store.

To keep one of the bolts from having any play. With out it, it will wear out much faster.

That's what the bolt tightens down on so you don't crunch the rubber bushing.
