ok, I have a 1992 Olds. Cutlass Supreme (2 door) with a 210HP V-6 with EFI. I have made sure all my tires are inflated properly, and I increased my gas mileage by 3 MPG's!! (went from 24 to 27 MPG's) I also checked my air filter, and cleaned it out, but I didn't see a better gas milage. is there anything else I can do?

Thanks in advance!

Whenever I'm landing with a strong headwind (or quartering headwind) I'm usually reluctant to add more than one notch of flaps.

In the planes that I fly (Cessnas and Warriors), one notch of flaps is 15 degrees. Anything more than this creates a large amount of drag for a negligible increase in lift, and I'm nervous about taking on too much drag with a strong headwind.

When landing with a strong headwind, isn't it better to use minimal flaps and a higher approach speed? (the POH says to add roughly 1/2 the wing gust factor).

I drive a 1987 Ford Thunderbird (V6 3.8L)

The radiator keeps leaking on me pretty bad. I have tried to use the sealant stuff in a bottle from Prestone & BARS, but it seems to just be a temporary solution before it's ultimately leaking again.

Where do I go for a replacement radiator? How much should I spend? Any advice would be helpful, I don't know a whole lot about cars. Thanks!

Alright, 1997 Chrysler Concorde. Took off the radiator and flushed it, changed both upper and lower radiator hoses. At the time, I figured I would see if I could also flush the flow of water through the engine. I stuck a hose in the thermostat housing and it flowed through...So I took it off to change the thermostat, and someone had removed it totally. So I put a new thermostat, new thermostat housing, both radiator hoses, and flushed the radiator. The coolant reservoir isn't leaking, but the cap is. However, it is still overheating, just not as quickly. The water pump is working, the top hose gets hot. I am thinking there is a possible clog in the return line from the reservoir to the engine/radiator, but does anyone else have any ideas? After changing everything (also new coolant, 1gal concentrated, rest water) it idled for a while, but the coolant bottle never dropped the level. It stayed full completely. Any ideas? Fans work, thermostat is within temp range. Properly bled radiator.

I'm looking for a car alternative for living in London city, and C1 seems like a good option. But I'm worried about looking cool as a 30 year old guy with this type of vehicle.

BMW C1 (scooter with roof) - Cool or Un-cool??

I was putting some motor oil in my car yesterday and I spilt a few drops onto the top of the engine itself. I wiped it up but some residue must have remained because when I got home and checked under the bonnet, there was smoke coming from where I had spilt the oil. Is this going to cause a problem or will the oil just burn itself out without any damage? I know I should have been more careful when I poured the oil, I feel like an idiot and have already invested in a funnel for the future! All help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Mine was on a winter night. I was driving with my best friend. It was freezing cold. and we were driving down a road with woods on both sides. The road was asphalt. Then it suddenly became dirt! Then we drove thru an opening at a fence for a farm, more dirt, and the road curved, we drove past cows!, finally the road ended where you turned left, or right, at a main 2-lane road. We drove left for a few miles, finally found our way back to my home. The entire trip took 3 hours. But what a road, what a night!! We looked, during the daytime, for this road, found it again 5 years later. That was years ago, and to this day, I cannot remember where this road is.

I drive a BMW M3 (which is a high performance car for anybody who doesn't know) I've heard people saying who know me that I think I'm better than other car drivers with lesser cars. This is rubbish and I would still be the same person no matter what I had. There's no problem were I work and people know I have it because I like fast cars. It doesn't worry me, it's just annoying that some people have to draw stupid conclusions about things.

I don't feel like confronting them but it's hard to ignore sometimes. Any advice!

It's the kind you've got to get out with an allen wrench. When I was trying to get it out the first time it stripped out the inside where the allen goes. The next size allen up won't fit and the one i was trying to use just turns around freely in the bolt. Any ideas of how to get the bolt out now?

If this were a GM I'd say the park pawl wouldn't lift off the main gear. Can the valve body be removed and flushed of dirt then refilled with new fluid? Where can I find a shop manual on those transmissions? I've put shift kits in TH350's and TH400's so I'm not clueless with transmissions.
