I need to give it gas to start it and need to keep pumping the gas to keep it from dying. what is wrong and how can i fix it??

I got this from a Ford tech:

Without knowing the year, make or model, I would guess a vacuum leak or a problem with the EGR or whatever the vehicle uses to idle (Ford & Nissan call it an IEC valve).

I have this Mack Dodge honda ford Peterbuilt and why is it idleing so low? I want it fixed Now? Please year make model miles and size of engine give me a clue?

My friend thinks you may need to get a new IACV (Idol air control valve). Good luck!
