my motorcycle jacket smells really bad. i would like for it to not smell bad at all. i would like it to smell good, actually. so, how do i wash it? it is a jordan brand jacket made by joe rocket.

it's not leather. it's that stuff. you know, that stuff that's not leather. it is textile, and not mesh. umm... crap, now i have to go get my jacket and look... Okay, it is made of nylon on the outside and polyester on the inside

Not knowing what material it's made of, I would say "Read the label".
Ok, the details help.
mine is nylon, PU coated. Polyester lining.
Label says machine wash warm, gentle cycle, no bleach.

Never wash leather motorcycle clothing, never get them dry cleaned. Are you people real, just get a damp sponge and clean them off, wipe clean and use vaseline when dry. Modern bikers you aint got a clue., ask your mother to do it for you and wipe your **** at the same time.
If its textile take the liners out and armour and wash it, hang up and let it dry. What do you guys ride funfair bikes. SAS riders hey oh Saturday and Sundays (weather permitting)

You could always try reading the washing instructions on the inside of the jacket. My Joe Rocket has detailed instructions is several languages. Basicly remove body armour, wash in cold water with mild detergent and lay flat to dry

It really depends on the jacket. My Icon Tarmac says hand wash or gentle cycle in machine, no bleach, cool water, and don't put it in a dryer. I have followed the directions exactly, and it still looks like a new jacket.

Should dry cleaning fail second best choice is to buy new.
Purchase of second-hand goods that smells better after being dry cleaned is choice #3.
Number four is your stink with frequent / futile home cleaning.
Final choice is to join the motorcycle club where initiation requires you to wear . . . Wait. They don't accept riders who wear Jordan Brand. Lucky you.

I took my leather jacket to a dry cleaner. They warned me that it might get damaged, but hey, when I got it back, it was in good shape. $40.

A specialist in leather cleaning, or if you can't afford that, go to a "tack shop" (for horse owners) and buy some saddle soap it's called.
