SR20det for sure, alot more options for aftermarket bolt on parts. Easy to get decent power out of them.

Go with the SR20DET!! Parts are easier to find and cheaper. However, the CA18DET was the predecessor of the RB26DETT- the R33 and R34 Skyline GT-R engine. It probably isn't important but it's a bit of knowledge most people don't know about. I used to work for Nissan Motor Corp. back in the early '90s.

Neither, it is not economically feasible. The engine swap will be worth more than the car. Sell the Pulsar and get an early Sentra SER or NX 2000. You'll be glad you did.
