my 2001 Buick Century started running really bad about a month ago.Put in a ton of fuel injection cleaner, and heet.Changed the fuel filter,PVC valve,Air Intake Control Valve(which was shot)and things improved. Now the service engine light is on,and I've noticed it idles a little rough, and engine sounds a little louder, just in the last couple of days.It doesn't lope like it did,but still a hesitation once in a while. The car has 81,000 miles on it and never given me trouble before. The manual says the fuel additives could have caused damage to one or more of the spark plugs.A friend said it could be the O2 sensor.
Being woman I want to find out as much as I can before I go to a garage and risk being shafted.Any advice, anyone?

I am going to attempt rotating the tires on my Chevy 1500. Is it safe to jack up the truck with 4 jacks. I have one hydrolic jack and 4 floor jacks. I am not afraid to rotate the tires. I am afraid the truck is going to slip from the jacks and fall. Am I attempting this the wrong way? How do you guys do it?

It is an 1993 Buick Regal Custom with a 3.8L engine. It ran hot and I had to replace the heater core. Now the heater will not work and my car keeps overheating. It is also skipping a little bit. I am getting a tune up tomorrow for that. I also flushed the radiator and that didn't help. I noticed that the fans don't kick in until around 200 degrees f.

Currently i have a 4.6 engine in my mustang. However its "blown up" and my dad is going to replace it... he wants to put another 4.6 in it but i asked him if i payed for it, could we have a 5.0 put in it... He told me that it has to be a 4.6. (otherwise you would have to change the mounting bolts and transmission among other small things)...What exactly would it take, and would it be worth it???

For years I've been told not to put a car battery down on a bare concrete floor. That it would drain the battery and somehow damage it's rechargeability (sp). Is this true or an old wives tale?

I have a Dodge Ram 1500 (V8) that will not start. It did though lie "dorment" for at least 1 yr. It ran pryor to that and I had bought another truck and just let this one sit. It ran perfectly fine before that. My neighbor brought over his hand held "computer" and it read "no link..... computer error". Any idea on what this could be? I am stumped on this one.

I have a 1977 Avion Travel trailer. It has a 3,000 BTU Suburban NT-30 Furnace. It has a 3 wire hook up for the power and thermostat. If I bought a new one to replace it, I would have a 4 wire hook up on the new furnace. Anyone out there ever make this swap? What about the 4th wire?

We just purchased a 27' travel trailer. The trailer weighs 5500lbs empty. I am having a 10,000lb hitch put on my '99 F-150 and will have sway bars. My truck is a 4.6L V8. Am I insane to attept to tow this trailer or does this seem reasonable? Will driving while towing it be a white knuckle affair? Thanks!

To make a long story short, a couple of weeks ago my '99 dakota started to tweek. It would loose power if accelerated too quickly or driving up hills. Days later, I pulled out of the driveway and 20 seconds later, it lost power again. It feels like its starving for gas or a hole in the exhaust. Because you can feel a "putt putt" and silent backfires when it does it. It went to one mechanic and he couldn't find anything wrong with it. Currently its at another and our bill is at $1k and still they don't know whats wrong. Its had a good tune up, everything has been looked over, its just one giant mystery. Has anbody else had this problem or have any ideas what could possibly be wrong? They are checking the engines computer today, but I have a feeling that won't be it either. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

My SRS light turned on today on my 01 Civic with 95k. the car is a one owner car and has never been in a wreck. I am worried this is going to cost a fortune to fix. Any ideas on the problem or how much dealer will charge for diagnosis and repair.
