There were a few "regional" mustangs that they produced, one called the "california special" for the California people. Then there was a few "hi mountain specials" they made for the Denver area. They had "shelby type" side scoops on some of them and also had the "65" T-bird tail lights. They may have named one the "laredo special" but ime not sure.

Are you thinking of Landau ?? That was more of a top option and not a performance option. There was the California Special, all the Shelby's GT350 GT350H GT500 Boss 429. Boss 302 Mach1.

Shelby doesn't start with L, but the first syllable rhymes with L. That's the best I can do.
