I have never worked on suitcases, but WD40 should work. I have used it for noisy door hinges and various other squeaky projects with good results. Cheap, too. However, check the wheel(s)s and try to move them by hand to see if they have a lot of play; if so, WD40 won't help, and you'll need to repair them or get a new suitcase.

How about the brakes? :)

Try shooting a little bit of oil on them. Use a light grade machine oil. Someone mentioned 3 in 1. that's as good as any. good luck.

maybe they had no bearings. replace the case with one that has bearings that you can oil.
