I have a 97 Pontiac Bonneville. I just had someone replace the engine in it and when I got it back the fan will not work. It comes on for a short period of time in low speed when the ac is turned on and then turns right back off. We checked the fans to see if that was the problem and they are working fine. We checked the fuse and that was fine too. Any ideas because I'm stumped. Thanks in advance

My brand new prop dinged a piece of drift wood on the river i fish on. I noticed no vibration, or performance lose. When i got home i saw 1 blade had a slightly different curve than the rest and some paint had been removed from blade edge. Is this something i should have repaired ?

My Saturn has 145,000 mi. on it and I hear a metal on metal clunking noise coming from the front end when i hit a bump. Both front tires are worn on the inside edges. If it is a ball joint problem, what can I expect to spend to repair and does it require a special tool?

When I drive my 58 Chevy Apache, it makes a grinding noise when i turn the steering wheel hard to the left. It used to do it a bit when I turned it to the right, but I greased it with some Schaeffer's grease and it stopped it grinding when I turned it to the right. Why is it still grinding when I turn it to the left? What can I do to solve that problem?

I have had difficulty with this shop. I posted a question earlier about this. My car is on its third auto shop. It sucks but im trying to make the best of it. Looks like my car is finally going to be up and running. The second shop FOLDED and they gave my car to this shop next door which told me they would finish the work.

im exicted and I want to pay them for a job well done once its done but lately a lot of "problems" have come up and I dont want to be ripped off. I think since its a corvette he might think i have a lot of money...i dont! i had to take out a loan to cover repairs.

ill pay if he does a good job and is honest with me. But what if he tries telling me all this "extra" work. I know about the mechanic's lien but anyway around it? I mean if worse comes to worse can I just have a tow truck stop by and pick it up to remove my car out of there.

yes i know my car title will be affected but how? Bank has my title until its paid off in 4 years.

The emergency brake light in the console is always on in my sisters 2000 Mazda Protege. I checked the brake fluid and it is about half full. Also when I'm driving it, the brakes squeek sometimes. Could a brake fluid change solve this or are the brakes totally shot and need replacing?

We've had a nasty rainstorm here in FL the past few days. I drove through a rather large body of water yesterday just following traffic and I happen to get stuck. Car just shut off on me and wouldnt start back up. After 2 days of sitting, still wont start. Tried jumping it, still nothing. The battery still works and all power works, lights, radio, windshield wipers etc... What do you think my problem is????

I thought my transmission was going out until today when I drive my car more than half pedal and the rpm's jump from 2k to 4k like the transmission is slipping and when driving u have to let off the gas for it to shift at times it gets worse the longer its driven smd today I removed the fuel filter to test it by blowing through it welll when I put it back on nothing I removed it to make sure gas was going through it and thats when I discovered the fuel pump was not working even though I had just drove the car an hour before with lots of trouble I couldn't barely make it over 40mph and the transmission seemed to slip could the fuel pump have made the car not let the rpms go up enough for it to shift right? 2000 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 4cyl aurtomatic any ideas would be great thanks.

I am getting a newer vehicle soon. Last michigan winter in my little 93 saturn sl2 5-speed slid into many many curbs. It makes me want to get an suv with 4wd for my next vehicle, however, gas is quite pricey for one, also, for the $10k I plan to spend, I could get much more in a car. My question is, are modern cars (2000 or newer) safe in snow? What are the best cars in my price range to consider? Should I just get an suv instead? Sorry, I know that was a few questions...thanks for any real answers.

In light of the Minneapolis bridge collapsing.

Does it make you nervous driving on larger bridges that are long and go up real high like the Chesapeake bay bridge fron Kent Island to Annapolis, MD.

I used to drive on the Bay Bridge in Maryland a lot and it didn't bother me. I'd take that bridge going to ocean city, md.

I also took the Delaware memorial Bridge to Atlantic city and that was a high bridge too.

I recently met a friend who shares some sailing fantasies. He is saying you can just buy a 28' sail boat and sail across the pacific. Is this true, i would have though you'd need a bigger boat. How small of a boat is possible and how long would it take if rushed?
