basically the name,tahoe is more upscale while the yukon is more towards the working class,gmc is basically the working class vehicals while chevy is more towards comfort

It's kinda like Toyota and Lexus, just not to that extent. The GMC Yokon is basically a more upscale/luxury version, while the the Chevy Tahoe is marketed more towards the working man, though I've seen instances where the roles are completely reversed. It's mostly marketing, but I do believe GMC's are genuinely more luxurious. Hence the price difference.

well basically the same but with GMC's wiring harness (GMC uses two more grounds and a three wire starting system) but other then that a few more grand in resale value

Usually the only difference is the grill and emblems. Sometimes some of the GMC trim is nicer. Mechanically they are identical.
