My brand new prop dinged a piece of drift wood on the river i fish on. I noticed no vibration, or performance lose. When i got home i saw 1 blade had a slightly different curve than the rest and some paint had been removed from blade edge. Is this something i should have repaired ?

If you don't notice any problems leave it alone. Yes you could hammer it back into shape with a hammer and a block of wood but you could also make it worse. It won't damage any bearings or seals as it is. Go the rest of the season and when you are done for the winter pull the prop and have a shop look at it.

over time the vibration that is there and you don't notice will eventually be noticeable and cause problems. Aluminum props can be repaired if you know of a good shop. Personally...I would spend the money and go with a stainless prop that has a plastic or hard rubber hub in it. All the major manufacturers make them.

If it is aluminum, be careful, they are brittle.
You can turn the prop & watch for the clearance at the trim tab to see just how bad it is bent.
I would not leave it on the shaft while trying to straighten it.

Yes and no................first if you softly hit it with a soft faced hammer you can repair it yourself if it isnt bad..........it can cause a small vibration not felt by you that could take out a bearing.............no because i ran mine all dinged up for years, but i can fix my lower unit
