hello all, well my ex boyfriend bought me a car and he paid cash on it, and he ttrasnfered the tittle to the car to me so when i went to the tag place i paid around 380 with the tax of the car, now they send me a letter saying that i have to pay around 2500 on taxes what the hell is this do i have to pay taxes again??? please can someone tell me that i have to pay the whole amount?

pickup runs fine except when I first start it, or when I shut it off and try to restart it. It starts fine, but 15-20 seconds after it has started and come up to normal idle it start to chug and idle poorly. This last for about 20 seconds then it comes back to normal idle and runs fine. If I jump in it , start it up and try to take off it chugs and sputters for a couple of minutes then takes off and runs fine until I shut it off for a couple of minutes, then it will do the same thing again. I have two fuel tanks and it does the same with both so I don't think it's the fuel pumps. I have a new fuel filter, air filter and the injectors have been cleaned. The check engine light does not come on. I don't know what's wrong. If it had a carb on it I would say the choke is sticking, because that's how it behaves, however it has fuel injection.

Hello, I have 85 Chevy C10 2wd, 305 motor.
I was starting to have a problem with white smoke comming from the tail pipe. I've been told its the piston rings. I figured the motor can wait to be overhauled till later this year so I went and got a bottle of NoSmoke NoLeak and added it after I changed the oil. I also changed the pcv valve. I followed the directions on the bottle. I drone the truck for about 15 miles and then parked it. I went to drive it yesterday and the white smoke is now pretty much gone but now there is alot of black smoke. Even sitting at idle you can see the black smoke puffing out. I never had black smoke comming out only white.
Anybody have any ideas what could be the problem?

I commute to school about a 1 hour back and forth. I rarely drive around town. The SRT-4 is a turbo and I know that turbo's eat alot of gas. Only Prenium and lots of it. I'm cheap but does the SRT-4 get at least 25MPH on the highway? I'm thinking about a non turbo WRX impreza sedan. It's not turbo so it will not eat alot of gas, right? I'm stuck between a SRT4 and a non turbo WRX. Which car is better for me?

ok it always makes this sound when i drive foward and it will do it once i break as well, what do you think is wrong its been like this for awhile now i have 70,000 miles on it now

also my wheel is alittle crooked when the wheels are turned straight the wheel isnt on the right angle, is that bad?

and i also recently noticed that when i let go of the break i hear this sound because one time i accidently dropped something into the emeregency break or whatever

Lets suppose you live in State A...and while on vacation in State B, your purse/wallet with your drivers license is stolen. What would be the correct thing to do in regards to a license, if you didnt want to drive home without one? Do you/ can you get on in the State you're in even though its not your home state? Is your only option to literally drive home without one?

If I do not report to DMV, would they know and what will be my outcome if DMV find out? The other party did not have any damage so they did not want to report anything. My car had a $4000 damage but I have a full coverage on my car. So, I decided to report to insurance company, someone hit me and ran. But, must I report to DMV? Would they find out? I need information about the way the postal collection system operates.

1. What does the day symbol engraved on a metal plate screwed above the post box slot, stand for?

Recently I've noticed that there is a MON, TUE, WED, THU (etc...) plate on Post boxes in the local area. What does the day stand for? Does it stand for when mail is collected during postal strikes? Or does it have a more general use?

Is there available a list of post boxes in Boroughs or Councils, together with collection times listed for the post boxes?

Is this list available on the internet. Or how could I acquire one successfully and straightforwardly without being refused or directed elsewhere?

3. Is it possible to collect mail due to be delivered to your address on X particular day, at any earlier time on that day or the day before. (e.g. can I collect mail due for delivery on Monday, on a Sunday afternoon for example as it is being sorted?

4. When will 2nd class mail service be withdrawn?

I was in target a few days ago and i saw this transmitor for an ipod and it was supposed to plug into a jack that goes with your c.d. player?? I looked around my c.d. player and my instruction manuel and i could not find anything like that. I own a 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE. Could someone please tell me if I have that type of jack or if I need to get something different for my ipod?

starts ok but starter sticks on and when i turn the key off the starter keeps turning engine over. turn key back on and motor starts.turn key off, motor quits but starter keeps turning engine over.

Same car, different question:

Mechanic says bad head gasket and diag. misfire codes 1 & 6, tested ign o.k.

I believe I have the standard v-6, 3.0 but will confirm this, (as an earlier answer stated) that the 3.0 vourtec engine would prob. be over my head.

I am thinking about taking off heads myself and take too machine shop for inspection etc... and replacing head gaskets.

I will go too the library for Chilton's info.... I tinker on cars and do basics, have torque wrenches etc... just not much engine experience... I think I want too attempt the head gasket replacement, at least I could open it up and have my fam. relation who is a mechanic take a look at it (not Ford Mech, is V.W. mechanic)

Car has 100,000 but was babied all the way, and looks good also.

What do you think, Go for it?

My Olds Shilloette has 264,000 and never any problem, my 2-subaru's (tinker on) 150,000+ when I bought them and replace bad motor, so a Ford with 100K and bad head gasket suckss

I am an HGV driver and I would just like to say a BIG Thank You to all the drivers who let me know(at 2am when I am asleep in my truck at the roadside) that the road is clear. You do this by beeping whilst driving past and I awake to hear your large bore exhaust fading into the distance. I wake up and think "Well, at least the road is clear, now I can rest easy" Thanks again. I'm sure the people in the surrounding houses are overjoyed with this update too.

I asked a question about my husband being an ice road trucker. For one of you who said it's summer, no ice. No ****!!! Winter will be here soon he needs to know now. For EVAN - Wanna be my ***!!! My husband has driven truck for about 20 years. We live in the rockies he drives everyday, he was an over the road driver for about ten of those years, I think he knows a little bit about trucks. So get off your high horse and get a life! There are other people out there who are as you say "professional truckers" too. You aren't the only one.
