car stereo with usb?

i am thinking about buying one of these but would like the storage of a portable hard drive insted of a 4 gb usb falsh drive can you hook a hard drive to one of these stereos will it work you can get hard drives that dont have a power cord

I don't think a car stereo USB port supplies enough power to use a 2.5" portable hard drive.

i dont know if that will work but i have a 30gb ipod hooked up to my stereo and that works fine look into it
