If so, anyone know of a place where I can find an original system (new /used)? And, how much should I expect to spend on a complete unit. Mechanic cost? Thanks to all who reply. Just bought a 66 a couple of weeks ago and love it! Needs air though....Too hot here in the summer toot have it. Thanks again!

Does a clean car drive better than a dirty one?

When you turn the key to crank up, a low electrical hum then a continous clicking sound while lights on the dash flicker but no actual cranking (its not like the cranking is taking place but the engine is not firing up- simply no cranking). It became progressively worse (before it would start after a few attempts). From my research either the battery is not charging due to a PCM condition or a bad alternator.

The check engine light has been on with P0051- low circuit in heated oxy sensor Bank2 Sensor 1. Replaced the sensor but the light did not go away, upon erasing the code, came back on with the same error. That research showed that the there could have been a corrosive aspect for a board in the PCM for 2002 sentras and the o2 sensor may be a false alarm.

I wonder if the PCM is indeed the main culprit.

I guess when I first put my license plate on the back of the car, the bolt didn't get put in properly. I had recently moved and I need to change the license plate and I can't seem to take out one of the bolts out. I know this might sound like a stupid question but what's the best way to take this bolt out so that I can put a new license plate on?

You were parked, and witnessed someone hit another parked vehicle. You know that they did damage...probably a good scratch. You just got part of the license number and you don't know what type of vehicle did the hitting, just the color of the vehicle. Would you just dismiss it, or allert authorities to it?

I have an exhaust leak and i really dont plan on fixing it because i cant do it myself. It is leaking around the donut by the mainfold. If i do fix it sometime, i want to do somethint to make it louder. I was thinking duals with glasspacks, but what will be less expensive and still sound good? I am not just going to cut off the muffler, it sounds crappy. Any advise or opinoins are appreciated.

I financed a car for 18k a yr ago and now owe 15k currently. The payments have gotten too high for me ($380/month) and I would like to get something different with a smaller payment. What are my options? I would prefer to stay away from private selling. Also the car is valued at 11k trade-in and 15k suggested retail. Help please!!!

1998 Honda Accord with about 100,000 on a great, no-problem engine and I will likely have to pay for the repair if I want it back to pre-accident condition. No witnesses to the accident so insurance isn't too helpful - now I have a smashed up trunk, light, panel. If I repair it, the bill will be about $3,000.

So, should I go ahead and take it to the body shop or shop around for a possibly lower-miles/newer model Accord?

Thanks.

I've gotten a 3 year Transmission, engine, seals and gaskets warranty...good?

He says his mechanic is going to tune it up, change oil, all the necesseties...Should I trust them? Its already included.

What do I do next?

Before I sign anything, is this when I take it to a mechanic?

It drives great but there is something squeaking, on the passenger's back wheel. (it happens if the car "bounces")
I asked him and he said it was when a car rests for too long or is old (something happens....axis....i don't know lol sorry i don't remember) some plastic starts to make noise (above the wheel) I asked him will how much will it take to replace it, and he said $100- $150, I said how long will it be in repair and he said 45 minutes max!

....Should he be paying for this? Should I tell Him I'm not signing not a s*hit until he fixes it?

What about gas? Should he be giving me a full tank of gas?

HELP!!!!

Our Suburban was totalled and we'll still owe a minimum of $3K, although waiting on final valuation from the ins. co. The bank says we have 10 days to pay it off after ins. payment is received. Ain't gonna happen. Bank says we can buy a new veh. and "roll over" amt. but we don't want to be upside down again, so not going that way. Next option is to get new loan with collateral, of which we have none. We won't qualify for a new loan anyway. So what do we do? Income is below poverty level and we have no assets. If they take us to court, they'll win (we DO owe the money), but then what happens?

I took my car into a Sears Auto Center Tuesday to get a front end alignment done. Everything went great. The car was really out of alignment, but they took care of it with no problems. I also had them do an oil change on it.
But within less than a week i have had three unrelated problems pop up with my car - and i just find that odd. First my check engine light has been coming on and off over the past few days, yesterday my exhaust pipe broke in two and today my air conditioning quits working. It blows-but blows out hot air. Maybe im being silly, but i just find it quite odd that all of these things would go wrong at practically the same time. Is it possible they did something to my car in order to get me to bring it back and make more money off of me? Or am i just crazy and running through a spell of bad luck?

I want to convert an old diesel school bus to an RV. I have found many vehicles that fit the bill on ebay, and a few other places. I figure I'll be paying $1,000-3,000 for the vehicle itself. I was wondering if anyone who has done this before, or knows someone who has, might be able to give me approximate costs. I want to mount solar panels on the roof. I will be doing most of the work myself, and have people to help me, so I will not be paying anyone for labor. I want to put in a sink, toilet and shower (and all the necessary equipment like water tank and heater, etc), build in some bunk beds and put in a propane heater and stove, a refrigerator and so forth. I have found different info on different websites that range anywhere from about 10,000 to 40,000. While I want all the necessaries, the idea is to do it as economical as possible. If anyone could give me a more narrow range it would be greatly appreciated.
