I have just bought a 53 renault laguna dci and evrything is good, but when i am driving down the road i am getting scratching and rubbing noises from the n/s/f wheel arch, and whn i am stationary i rev a little its the same noise from under the car. also over 40 i get steering wheel rumble, and steering wheel is not straight.

Did you think of taking it to a shop and maybe have some one look at it? or would you prefer to have us all guess at what that noise could be. We can`t hear it and we can`t see it. If you want a guess, I would say you have a small animal in there trying to get out.

sounds like you have steering geometry problems caused by someone hitting a kerb at speed. you could have the wheel bearing damaged too making a rumble. Needs checking out for safety.

Hope you bought it from a garage, get it back their toot sharp quick. I think that your steering geometry is out. It may be a wheel balancing problem. Either way don't delay it might be worse. It will get worse not get better

Take it back to the garage and explain your problems, I suggest you also say that you are rejecting the car unless they can easily correct the problems.

Take it back ! and get your money back then when looking at other cars get a trained engineer to come and give it a full check that way you'll get a working car!

take it back. sounds like you have unbalanced wheeles and a problem with your wheel geomatry.
