only in the eye of your mind ------- I do suppose that the dirt on the outside of yo ride would create wind resistance and slow down the wind drag and cause the car to get poor gas mileage ,,however it does seem unlikely to create a loss that is significantly noticeable to the miles per gallon versus a clean ride of the same make and model
