Drove to work this morning and was cut off before pulling into the parking lot at work and didn't realize that I left the car running. Seven hours later I couldn't find my keys and was shocked to find them in the car with the car running. Still had gas in it. Car didn't overheat got to about 230 (not it the red at all). Only smelled exhast (windows were closed). Checked under the car, no fulids dripping. Temperature outside was 101 degrees today, of course. Turned it off, let it cool down for about an hour dropped to 200, and drove it about 7 miles, with no problems. Will this hurt the car? Older car Oldsmoblie 1990.

Well, went to bleed my brakes, and I had to pour liquid wrench all over the screws to get them to turn. I got three of the tires bleeded out, but the last one's being a pain, and it's rounded off. No matter how much lube I put on it, or how much I smack it with the hammer, it won't budge, and now it's rounded. My question is, how do I remove the rounded screw? I've heard of sockets that remove rounded bolts, but I need something more deep set and 10mm. Do they have something like this? Also, I'm feeling good pressure on the brake pedal. Hypothetically, how bad would it mess me up not to have the one line bled? Don't worry, I'm going to do it, just wondering.

I have a 1987 honda accord and it cranks up but won't stay?
running unless your foot stays on the gas. What could be wrong with it.

it has a brand new carborator (sp) and it did stay running for a bit when I adjusted the idle but it didn't sound right. It was idling up and then down. Died out when I put breather and stuff back on.

assuming you run normal tyres, would rim size really matter as when you increase rim diameter you get lower profile tyres so the wheel still becomes the same overall size? as in would 15 inch with fat tyres make much of a difference over18 with low profiles? because someone said to me 15" for go 18" for show, but if the overall wheel size is kept the same through adjusting tyre diameter i cant see how this would be true.

A guy at my job is selling his Honda Accord because he just got a new truck and is buying a house. I test drove it and everything seemed ok except for a few problems. First, one of the fans don't work. I'm not sure if its the ac fan or the radiator fan but its the one on the left if you were facing the hood... Also it needs a window motor for the passenger side and the ac blows out hot air which he says is caused by low freon. Claims there are no leaks. The engine is quiet and the car has about 140,000 miles on it. I am going to look at it further but with those problems do you think its worth 1500

Transmission guy told me last year that, if you leave the gas cap off, the car senses it and reverts to another mode of fuel injection. This gives me bad gas mileage. How do I tell the computer that the cap is on again? (2002)

My husband was in a car accident in April. It was the other man's fault (he ran a stop sign that crossed a highway). Our car was completely totalled. My husband only had ... i guess minor injuries. The most damage was done to his knee. Which he still has soreness now. All my husband's injuries healed slower because of the fact he has to take blood thinners. Other than his knee he had a sore neck and just bruises and cuts. His hospital bills come out to around six thousand dollars. The other man's insurance company is hassling us about signing off on this quickly. She actually asked if she just paid his bills alone if we'd settle. But I know that we should get something for pain and suffering. I mean, this wasn't our fault. But I don't know how much to ask for. Lawyers have said triple your hospital bills and ask for that, but the insurance woman (before I even mentioned the times three thing) said that triple is not realistic. So what is? What should I ask for?

I stripped the threads on my oil bottle/tank (that is in front of the engine). I bought a newer-used one and re-installed. I filled the new bottle with 2 qrts oil, and nothing registered on the dip stick. I added 2 more qrts oil (total 4 qrts) and it finnally registered on the dip stick. I started the quad - mistake - and blew oil out the air filter and exhaust. I then drained every bit of oil and cleaned the filter and pipe. I re-filled the oil tank/bottle with the recommended 2 qrts oil, and the tank was dry and not registering on the dip stick. Why will the oil not register or even come close when I know I added the proper amount oil to the tank/bottle? Could the oil bottle have a blocked hose? I know the bike has the right amount of oil in the gears, but not in the bottle.

I am thinking of buying a 2002 Ford Mondeo 2.5 v6 Ghia X.
It has 112000 on the clock with dealership service history up to till 60000, and independent service history up till 80000
and then there are random receipts for various bits of work.

The car is in immaculate condition inside and out. The engine runs sweet with no noise's.

I can find nothing wrong with the car except the mileage, and with a asking price of £3000 im so tempted.

I have a 1994 Nissan Altima. It has been sitting in my driveway for two years because it has not been working. It needs a new engine and a whole lot of old stuff that I don't understand. I want to get it fixed, but I don't know how much it would cost. Does anyone in Houston, Tx know of a good mechanic that would help fix my car or should I just get a new one? I wish I knew all of the details of whats wrong with it, but all I know is that it needs a new engine.
