I hope you're not talking about that piece of cr*p baby Blazer based on the S-10.
I shall assume you are talking about the fullsize K5 blazer that kicked butt for many years.
The Chevy Tahoe is basically the old Blazer with a new nameplate.

They replaced it in the lineup with the Trailblazer, just as the S-10/Sonoma pickups were replaced by the Colorado/Canyon. Every car maker fears a stale nameplate. That, and it gives them a chance to improve the vehicle by re-inventing it from the ground up.
So I guess it depends on how you want to look at it. You could say that the Blazer became the Trailblazer, or the Blazer died to make way for the new and improved Trailblazer. Either way, the Trailblazer took over for the Blazer in the Chevy lineup.

Chevy needed to update the Blazer to compete with other brands. You have to admit even though they are very reliable and solid SUVs they were outdated compared to the competition. As a result they didn't sell as well as they used to. The Trailblazer is a nice vehicle

Is this a trick question? 1) Chevrolet never made the metro -- it was some Asian import crap-box. 2) Durable? Huh? They began self-destructing the moment they drove off the lot. 3) Wrong again -- fuel mileage was OK for a three cylinder s***-box but not stellar. The Honda Fit gets better combined mileage.

It was just redesigned and renamed, Trailblazer. It's basically been the same truck since 1994, thats more than a too long of a run on a model.
