I'm looking mainly for a copy of the page where the fuse boxes are located and which is which. I bought the car and it didn't have a manual in the glovebox.

My dad doesn't think I should pay more than $7,000, but I just wanted some more opinions. I don't think $7500 would be bad dependent on the dealer letting my mechanic look it over. Also, does anyone know what type of mpg the SVTs get. I have found info for normal Contours, but I can't find a figures for the SVTs.

and charged me 135.00 but I still have the same problem, after running it full throddle for 2 or 3 min it acts just like it drops back to half throddle and nothing i do changes it ? after shutting it off for 2 or 3 mins , start it back up go for a little while it does it again ,,,, the shop said it was the floats in the carbs, but it still does it.. Iam wondering if this could be a bad plugs ( breaking down at high rpms) any ideas would be helpful ????????

My daughter (while in the midst of her anger over my using my index finger to write in the dust of her Harley the message, "I love you",) wrote to me in an email "never ever do that to mine or anyone else's bike again! You could be killed for doing that!" My eyes must have looked the size of PIE PLATES when I read that! Is this true??? Do Harley owners take something like that this personally????? Please explain. Thanks! And thanks to all of you who responded to my problem... I will print all the answers for her and give them to her in hopes that she will find hope in the form of a solution to my stupid, impetuous "writing fiasco" misjudgment/thingee.

i'm 14 and i just got my permit about a month ago, and now i'm looking to buy my first car.

i want something that's really good on gas, something that runs well, and something that's less than $3000.

My dad has been looking out for cars, and he's found a few, but yeah.

I want your opinions.

Are 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS's good? Would they fit my description of what I want?
Can you tell me what you know about them?

Also, what do you think would be a good car for me?

How much horse-power does it take to pull a boat about 2,000 pounds? Can most SUV's pull that? Or if I installed a hitch on my mini-van, could that pull it? Thanks.

I've recently put a new battery in it and when I put a charger on it to see if the alternator was shot, it still wouldn't turn over, it just clicks. Could this be the selanoid or starter?

How hard would it be to get a loan to buy a car that expensive for a person with no credit???

89 Chrysler NY 3.0L Mitsubishi...........car in otherwise great shape..smoking though. I've been told it's valve stem seals...will replace in a month or two..in the meantime, smoking is horrible....I've been told that Restore doesn't work at all to cut down on smoking. How about synthetic oil? With combustion point so high in the engine, would synthetic oil burn and smoke less? Would it make a difference?

I have been driving for about two years. Being a new driver, my insurance rate is of course considerably high (on a side note, I think auto insurance is legalized theft).

Now. Aside from that, I received a speeding ticket. It was 83 mph in a 55 zone. Oops. In court, the judge reduced it from two points to one point on my license, and the record now shows 64 in a 55. Should I expect an increase in my insurance rates? I am insured with Allstate.

After doing some research, I have determined to replace the motor with a like type inline 4 or 6 cyl engine. Seems that the design of the merc 470 leaves alot to be desired with the water pump - cam seal problems and lack of available parts. So I will remove this engine and replace with another type/manufacturer. What would be a good direct bolt up motor to install in the 170-200 HP range? Closed cooling would be good, since that is what is going on now. The boat has the stock tranny/outdrive attached to the present 470. I do not want to change these.....they are fine. I also do not want to spend thousands on doing the motor change-out, since the boat is almost 30 years old (in great shape) and I will sell later this summer for a larger boat. I don't want to sell this for any more than a reasonable amount without tearing my butt. Any ideas?

I have an old 17' fiberglass canoe that has no edge supports anymore, no way to attach seats. The wood all rotted off, I bought this canoe from a former co-worker in this condition. I've heard of an extruded aluminum frame that can be mounted to the canoe edge, but haven't found a place to buy it. Anyone have any recommendations for repairing an old fiberglass canoe? I haven't had much luck locally finding any canoe or kayak places that specialize in this ( northern Virginia ). Thanks!
