and charged me 135.00 but I still have the same problem, after running it full throddle for 2 or 3 min it acts just like it drops back to half throddle and nothing i do changes it ? after shutting it off for 2 or 3 mins , start it back up go for a little while it does it again ,,,, the shop said it was the floats in the carbs, but it still does it.. Iam wondering if this could be a bad plugs ( breaking down at high rpms) any ideas would be helpful ????????

I can't say about the Mercury, my Johnson did a similar thing and after many times in the shop they finally discovered a wire under the timing plate that the pick-ups sits on was worn. They never took the plate off to check it. When the motor was cool it would run fine, when it warmed up the wire didn't have enough good threads to carry the current. It wouldn't go past 1500rpm, then after it cooled it would run fine. Drove me nuts. Good luck.

Did they check the vent in the fuel tank. Try taking the gas cap 1/2 off an see if that helps?
