The motor misses, with the tap, but otherwise starts and runs smooth. Until it warms up. Once the engine is warm or hot, it begans to pop, and have a detonation knock, which actually sounds like timing, but I am not sure what that has to do with the tapping noise and the miss.

I'm looking for the price range of how much a 1983 Volkswagon Bus should cost. I looked on KellyBlueBook, but I didn't find it.

It has 110,000 miles, but 18,000 miles on a rebuilt engine. It also has a fridge, stove, and can sleep 4 people. It's in pretty decent condition.

I just bought a 2007 Toyota Yaris and want to install a regular cd player into it, Best Buy said it would be 40 for the installation kit, and 50 for the installation. This seems really high to me. A few years ago they installed it for free, Im confused!

My husband will be 50 in November. I've seen videos of civilians riding in fighter jets, such as the F14. Where would I go to find out about getting him a ride for his birthday? Thanks!

It seems that boats would be able to go a lot faster if they had something similar to an automatic transmission that cars have. By limiting a boat to one forward gear it seems as if a lot of the engines potential is wasted. If your car only had one forward gear you would never be out of first and really only be able to do a maximum of like 40 miles per hour.

Would this create problems in different areas of the car. he is offering it for $6,500 but I may be able to negotiate him down. Is this worth the purchase and am I gonna have a lot of problems with this car if I buy it. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

my boyfriend was picking me up from work and he had an accident... i had to give the other party my insurance for which i wasnt covered because i hadn't paid the bill that month. so the other party filed a claim against me, but i wasnt the driver. my boyfriend assured me that he would pay for the accident and try and get the claim against him instead... but who is liable? is it me because it was my car? or my boyfriend because he was the driver... no police report was taken.

my job is supposed to provide insurance for the cars that I move. I recently discovered that they have not been providing it. What do I do? They took money from my check twice for a simple scratch that is supposed to be covered by thier insurance that they don't have!! I work for a car rental out at the airport, I'm in charge of getting the cars cleaned up when they are returned after use.

I installed a Fosgate T8002 (power series) amp into my 2004 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner as a start towards replacing the stereo system I had stolen from my truck last month. I'm running it in stereo (not bridged) to 2-Kicker CVX 12" DVC 2 ohm subs (same as L7's-but round-1500W Max & 750W RMS) at 1ohm which the amp is rated to handle. Less than 3 weeks after the install I jump into my truck after work and upon powering up the system hear a whining noise so I shut everything down until I got home to look into it. Upon returning home I grab my tools and as soon as I power up the system again the amp makes a hissing noise, spews out smoke & catches fire internally. I pulled the power wire from the amp before it burned my truck to the ground. I'm curious if anyone knows of problems folks might have had w/ this amp or what may have caused this. I've installed many systems over the years and know everything was installed correctly, I've just never seen this happen like this. Any ideas? Thank you!

I drive a '98 Mazda 626 and I broke down yesterday. A horrible grinding noise was coming from under the hood of my car a few hours before I broke down, but I had to drive it to work - I had no other choice. I took it to Firestone (the only place it could be towed on a Sunday that was close to me) and they said I need a new water pump, timing belt, and some sort of spring that is under the timing belt?
It turns out that the belt or something near it was grinding up against my engine and little silver shavings had gotten into everything, and apparently my water pump is not functioning properly. They are telling me that I will have to pay $880 - does that sound right?

Also, the latch on my trunk is broken (it is stuck open) and I asked them how much it would cost to put a new latch on - they quoted me $300. I said "no thanks" to that. Is every auto shop going to give me the same price for a little latch?

Much help is appreciated as I know next to nothing about cars.

Yes, I was told the two sets of outputs on my mono single channel amp in for conveience but was told 2 different way to wire 2 subs to these. I was told to just wire each sub to each set. I was also told to wire them in series....."" 'Series' means that your subs are daisychained on one channel sharing the power and ohm load. An example would be: amp pos to 1st sub pos; 1st sub neg to 2nd sub pos; 2nd sub neg to amp neg. If you run both subs off of the two outputs you will reduce the power output to the subs. ""

SO, which is best?? These are 4 ohm single voice coil subs and a mono amp.
