u havent seen what a drunk driver looks like have u...or seen the results of a sudden head on from a drunk crossing the center line. i've actually seen the mangled remains of a car that was wrecked from a drunk; years ago, there was a heaved bump in the street that would be a shock tester. this drunk hit this section at about 70. car flew in the air, turned sideways, and smacked into a light pole with enough force to actually wrap the car around the pole; back wheels touching front. they had to cut the car off the pole. needless to say, the driver was killed on impact.

It is obvious you need a clear explanation in case you can't figure it your self ... You see , when you drink alcohol and you progress with it , little by little you become drunk and if you think you are not drunk like falling down to the floor , you are for sure dizzy enough to have lost the quickness of being sober , now once one is in that state and drives , one loses that sober ability and the driving becomes lousy , because the reaction time is now jeopardized , and the probability of sending that car into an accident is very high , and the accidents are ... kill or maimed a crossing pedestrian , kill a driver or passenger when running the red light because the slowness of applying the brake at the red light , crashing into another car while waiting at the red light , or going straight at a curve on the road and hitting a tree , or head on with an in coming car because you crossed the center line ..... should I say more ???

It used to be funny to see the neighbour's car on the lawn because he was drunk when he came home. That was many years ago. Society smartened up when it was noticed how many good and innocent people died, or were severely injured because of drinking and driving. I am amazed that anybody still even has to ask a question like that.

Stupid people that drink and drive don't think about the safety of others! One of my best friends was almost killed by a drunk driver. So not only are you putting yourself in danger, but also everyone else around you.

Drinking severely impairs your judgement. With lower levels of alcohol, you can't properly focus on the road and your reaction time is reduced. With higher amounts, you can't see properly/you can't interpret things properly, and your head is spinning too much for you to be able to drive in a straight line. By drinking and driving, you're almost ASKING to get into a car crash.

The potential death of your passengers, other road users (including pedestrians) and yourself.

If you don't kill others or yourself, there is the impact of injuries sustained in an accident, some of which may result in people living the rest of their lives in wheel chairs etc. And jail time for you for drinking and driving.

So think about others before drinking and driving!

The third worst result of DUI is that you crash your car and die.... Second worst is that you end up paralyzed or braindead from the crash and are a burden to your loved ones from a preventable accident..... the WORST thing that could happen is that you kill someone else.

Alcohol lowers inhibitons and thusly reduces judgement and reaction time. One is more likely to drive more aggressively without realizing that they are when impaired by alcohol.

If you haven't been drinking you're more likely to get hurt in an accident.
