Before you start throwing parts at it, if the engine isnt starting it could be a lot of different things. About the only thing to do is bring it to a shop, and have someone check it out. I wouldnt put a fuel pump on it, till I knew that was the problem.

If you can put your own fuel pump in, I'd go ahead and do it. The $100 won't be any more than you'll pay a shop to troubleshoot it, and a 92 pump is going to be pretty worn in any case. If the fuel pressure regulator is bad, you'll probably have gas in the vacuum line going to it.
I assume you've already changed the filter.

fuel pressure regulator could be bad or the fuel pump itself could be going or the fuel filter is almost plugged.

check for a clogged filter in the fuel line , or your fuel pump is failing . It may be a clogged fuel line .
