broken wire, switch, bad ground

A lot of the time it will be the driver's window, since that is the one used the most. The contacts on the switch will get burned and not make contact when the button is pushed. You can take the switch out and short the wires briefly to see if the window moves or if you have a ohm meter you can measure the resistance of the contacts and see if they are good.

Both windows go through the drivers window so if you are having trouble with the pass window it still could be a bad switch on the drivers door, but first you should get a meter to see if you are getting 12v to the window motor and continuity to ground this will reverse depending on what operation you are trying to have the window move. 12v on one wire and a good ground on the other and no movement you need a window motor, if you have no power at all you should check your wires then your relays then your door switches.

Well it could be a bad switch or maybe as simple as a fuse. I have two Chevy's with automatic and I have changed the switch's on one they aren't that hard it's just a matter of pulling the door panel off. I'd check the fuses first although I think that one fuse works both windows also you might check the wiring it could also be something with the window itself

In addition to Jim it is not totally uncommon to have a motor or one of it's plastic components wear out. I have also seen issues with GM regulators but not so much on the trucks. Mostly with some older Buicks.
