I have taken them off other cars but can't seem to be able to find how the idler releases. This is a 1998 Buick Lesabre with a 3.8 V6. Also what's up with the bolt on the idler I can't get a metric or standard wrench to fit on it. What I am trying to do is change to altenator.

Thank In Advance

I'm looking to buy a used car, 1996 to 2000, and I was wondering which one of these cars is better. Ford Explorer or Nissan Pathfinder, Such as which engine last longer, and which car has a longer lifetime in terms of how many miles it has on it. Thank you for answering.

Driving car & did not know that the oil was out. There was a pop, a brief puff of smoke under the hood and then the car died. It is a '93 Mercury Capri 5 speed. It now runs when on clutch and gas but, will die if off gas. It runs very rough (missing), but all electrical components run. After putting oil in it, it pours out when I turn the car off. Do you think a head gasket, thrown rod or. . . .?

My car was hit by a drunk driver about a month ago. The insured was not driving, but in the passenger seat; her boyfriend was driving. Damage was fortunantly only cosmetic and no one was hurt.
Her insurance company is giving me the run around. I know that they have recieved the police report and estimates and I also know that the vehicle was covered at the date of accident. I received a letter from them saying they are "investigating a coverage issue". Last week it was waiting on statments.
Are they gonna get away with not paying for my damages because the insured wasn't driving? I thought liabilty in Texas was meant to cover issues as this?
My car is older, but in fantastic shape (minus the bang in the rear bumper they caused) and any money due to me isn't going to cover hiring a lawyer. HELP!!!!!!!
