Driving car & did not know that the oil was out. There was a pop, a brief puff of smoke under the hood and then the car died. It is a '93 Mercury Capri 5 speed. It now runs when on clutch and gas but, will die if off gas. It runs very rough (missing), but all electrical components run. After putting oil in it, it pours out when I turn the car off. Do you think a head gasket, thrown rod or. . . .?

Hole in oil pan or side of block is my guess. Caused by internal engine damage.

The problem is a loose nut behind the steering wheel.

Threw a rod through the side of the oil pan.

It's JUNK!
