The car is a 96 Eagle Vision TSi. It has been well taken care of. Any Ideas on reasons why the light is on?

i own a repair shop and usually this light will not come on just from changing the oil,but you also had the engine cleaned,id say it was done in the cleaning process ,they have gotten something wet or knocked a wire off of it,and that's whats causing this to happen, its possible that a sensor is just wet on it and will dry back out,but if it doesn't id take it back and make them fix it,id say the problem probably has a lot to do with what they did,and they can fix it,and they probably will since it wasn't on before ,but be sure and take it back to them, there responsible for what they do,good luck i hope this helps.

Well, sometimes the fuel door is open. Just check that first if you haven't already. I had a 1995 Ford Taurus. The light came on for no reason at all once, and then it didn't come on again, so sometimes it's just a random thing. However, if it really concerns you then check it out.

The oil sensor probably went bad for some reason or it got disconnected at the engine sensor, that could trigger the engine light.you will need to take it in to have that analyzed to find the cause .good luck

Well it could be as simple a light bulb or loose gas cap or it could be something as complex as the computer sensors or the CPU itself. Check all your lights and gas cap. If all working and fine, get a computer diagnostic ran on it at a garage.

first thing I would check is the plug for the mass air flow sensor. Sometimes when checking the aire filter this plug will come out. Other than that I am not sure.

The problem probably stems from Walmart!

When they were cleaning out your throttle body, they unplugged something on the air intake hose, and left it off. Go plug it in.
