I am thinking about purchasing a used 2005 or 2006 BMW 325 or 330 (they both have about 25,000 miles) and have a concern. I have heard that they are not very reliable, some of my friends have even said unreliable. However, I have somewhat discredited they're comments because none have never owned a BMW... but I still wonder. And then there have been others that swear by them. Who do I believe?

Does anyone have any first-hand experience with BMW? How was it? What about the 05/06 models? Also, how would you describe the typical BMW driver-- do you think that thoe 25,000 miles could have been hell on the car?

One more question. One was a 6-speed and the other was automatic... if there is a difference in performence/ reliability/ cost of ownership could you please let me know and if possible explain?

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

In The Beginning: it died on me while i was driving. i was able to start it again but it was idling low. i gave it some gas but it didnt even rev the engine with the gas pedal hitting the floor. I took the alternator & the battery to be checked by 2 different Kragen stores and they both said that the battery & alternator were good. btw, this whole time all lights/cd player/power everything worked. it just didnt start.

Now: A month of not touching the car at all I decide to start it and it WORKS. At first it was running not so smooth and idling at 500 then (i guess to warm up)it started idling at 800-900. 2 laps around my block + 10mins of just running in my driveway between laps, it still runs/starts.

if theres anymore info needed ask away. i need an answer soon.

I've been wanting a bike for along time. Getting a new job may have sealed the deal too. A bunch of guys at the shop I just started working at have convinced me that now is the time. I really want a Hayabusa but I don't want one thats too aggresive. I want one I can learn on if that makes any sense? Since this will be my first, I don't want one thats gonna get me messed up right out of the box. I know how to ride 'em, just have never owned one. Like I said I really want a Hayabusa just not one thats gonna kill me right away.. Any help?? Thx..

My fiance drove her Sebring for about 5 months with way too much fluid in her transmission. As a result the car went into a safemode that kept it in 2nd gear at all times and put a box over every gear on the the dash. At first the transmission would work fine most of the time, but would downshift you into 2nd even at very high speeds. However, it eventually became a problem that happened everytime we started it up, and we eventually realized that it had more than twice the highest hot limit even when the car was completely cold. I have syphoned the fluid down, but we are still having the problem with it staying in 2nd (even after resetting the battery numerous times). I really dont know what else to do, please advise if possible. Thanks.

I changed the timing and all driving belts 2 weeks ago on my Acura Vigor 92. It was going well, until recently. When I start the car, the power pump belt has trouble to drive the power pump. The belt then squeaks very loud until the pump start to be driven by the belt after about 3-5 seconds. The tension is good, and it doesn't do this before. This only happens when I start the car (in cold winter), and once the noise is gone (pump rotates smoothly), there is no sound even when I turn lock to lock at idle. Any one have an idea???

okay people, any help would be greatyl appreciated, bottom line is i took my 05 neon to the delearship this morning after it acted up on the road bucking gears and so forth- it's an auto tranny. Now i tell them of situation, say it's only got 22000 miles on it, it's under warranty. fast forwards to 5 pm, i get a call. "this car had been in an accident and had parts in the front end replaced with non chrysler parts, so your warranty is void with this." so, i call other dealership, they say we can't help your car with your extended warranty you bought with us, because it is not a dodge part, and we only cover factory parts as well." so, pretty much, i bought this extended warranty for nothing, as my radiator was already exempt from it. I need help people what can i do? it's 650 bucks to cover a part that should be covered under warranty already. is there something i can do, i am stuck. thanks for the help all.

My radiator is leaking fluid. I've been putting some in before I go places just to get around and it seems to leak pretty fast. What will happen to my truck if I constantly drive around with no fluid? How about if I drive around sometimes without fluid (not constantly)? Basically is it like I can drive around without fluid sometimes and it wont be awful bad, or is it like it can mess up my motor any time even driving without fluid for even a short period of time? I hope you understand what I am trying to say. Thanks.

All 4 tires are the same, but the rear 2 are much more worn than the front 2 which are about a year old and have a good amount of tread depth left. The rear 2 are however much older and have less tread depth although I dont think they need to immediately be replaced. My question is should they be in the back or the front? I am starting to notice more and more skidding sounds but im not skidding. You know the tire squeal when you take corners hard. Im not slipping though but I know its not far off. I dont have the money to replace any they are expensive. Oh yea and if it matters I have an all wheel drive ford explorer (97) its not 4-wheel drive, its all-wheel drive. There is a difference. Thanks!
