Why is a guinea £1.05?
It's probably something to do with the maths of various people taking bits of the profit.

Gas is sold by the gallon. It's only the price that is listed as 9/10's of a cent. It makes you think you're paying a penny less per gallon

Gas is sold by the gallon but the price includes 9/10's of a cent for tax reasons.That is the tax they charge you for every gallon you buy.
