Has anybody ever heard of the shock absorber mounts of new Ford trucks crumpling when you jack them up from them? Why did they make them so crappy that this would happen

My boyfriend has had a Fox racing jacket since 1980's and it is totally worn out.. I would like to get him a new one for X-MAS but im not totally sure which brands are okay and which ones are gay. I know he doesn't want the harley jackets with all the silver buttons and stuff. I know Joe Rocket is okay and LBZ but other than that I need some Ideas. He rides a Suzuki GSXR so it needs to fit the type of bike he is riding!!!! So if any of you have some good ideas i would appreciate it! Ecspecially if its coming from a guy that rides his bike everyday and knows whats in and whats not!

the car will crank but wont start up. I get no spark and i think i get gas (i can smell some out of the tail pipe). The battery is fine and I have replace crank and cam sensor, the ecm, ingion module, coils and i have new spark pluggs. I pretty shure I checked every fuse in the car even the ones behind the glove compartment. I also checked the compression which is about 150 in each cylider. It happen one day after school the car drove 100 feet and shut off never to turn back on again. Before it finaly died I was having problems with my car just shuting off and not turning back on for sometimes like hours.

can anyone please help me?!

He uses the van a couple of times a month to get his band to shows. I think it uses about i quart per tank of gas. Since this is such a low use vehicle would it not be OK to just conyinue to add oil? I crank every day or so just to keep everything lubed.

I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler with only about 10K owed. I know I can sell it for at least 14K, probably 15K because it is in perfect condition and is a special edition model (only made in 2004). I want to trade it in for a new car, but I worry that the dealership may try to low ball me (even more than they typically would) if they know I only owe 10K. When negotiating for a trade in amount, is it wise to hold off on telling the dealership the amount I owe on the vehicle until after they have made their trade in offer? Is this tactic even accepted in the industry?

the problem wit my bike is its givin jerks only in the first gear after that it is perfectly allright,,,,,,,, i tried askin the mechanic,,,,he tightend the clutch little ,it reduced but the prob is not completly solved ,,,, is there any prob wit the plates ,,,,all this started after i gave my bike for service last time before which it was completly all right ,,,,, the smoothness of the bike is good no prob at alll,,,,even the gear shifts are smooth ,,,,,,only jerks in first gear is prob ,,,,,,please help guys ,,,,i am very possesive about my bike

My friend was driving home yesterday and her transmission just went from first into neutral while accelerating from a light a block or so away from her house. She can put it into park and it is in park, but all of the rest is just a neutral gear. It's a 1989 Nissan Maxima with about 120K miles (it ran extremely well up until this point) with an automatic transmission.

Any ideas before we tow it off to the repair shop?

She just wants to make sure that the shop is being honest with her.

I have never driven a motorcycle but have always wanted to. I heard the 1st gear is all the way at the bottom and to get to 2nd gear you have to hit the lever up twice then 3,4,5,and 6 is repeatedly upwards after the 2nd gear. Is this true?
