i have a small hole where my cat. converter bolts to the Y-pipe...the hole is just big enough for a loud ticking while driving. i was wondering...if i put silicone in the hole while it's cold, let it dry, and then start the car and drive it, will the silicone melt? and if so, what else could i do to patch the hole?

Alright I found this 1994 Toyota MR2, its in great condition as far as the body and only 56k on it, the guy wants 3000 for it.. Its a good price but my dad insists its not becasue the timing belt needs to be changed every 60000 miles and costs around 450 bucks, is this true that it has to be changed this often? Or is it he doesnt want me to get it.. I mean damn with the power it has and the gas mileage it gets you cant go wrong, especially its look too.. whats the verdict?

I was just wondering what happened to the original Datsun Works 240z rally cars of the 70's. I hear of a lot of replicas but I havent heard of any of the actual rally cars still around today. I was wondering if they were owned by nissan, by museums, private collectors, a piece of steel in a coke can, or just lost in a barn somewhere.

I've got a 2001 Kia Rio that I bought in crappy condition. I've got it fixed and now I'm looking to get all that stuff taken care of. The title is still in the previous owner's name (some crook from this local used car lot) and I need to get insurance (gonna get liability insur.), get the car registered, and have a sticker inspection done (expiring this month). Are there any other expenses I forgot to mention and how much would it all cost?

My daughter's VW Beetle's side airbag deployed while sitting in her school parking lot, causing $2,000 in damages. She had a tire blow out on her car earlier, which VW is saying caused the airbag to blow. She was not in an accident of any kind. Luckily no one was sitting in the passenger seat when this bag blew, or they would have been injured as a result.
