i own a repair shop,,and i think it might have jumped timing on you,,you didn't really say what kind of car this is,but this is the most typical cause of one doing that,and i have seen a lot of them do that before,i parked mine one day and the next day when i tried to start it it jumped timing before it ever tried to start,,check it,,or have it checked and see for sure if that's it,good luck,i hope this help,s.

oh come on, you can do better than that.
Does it finally start? What did you do to it last?
What did the temp guage read? Is it really a car becuase you know that all cars made frome the begining of time are exactly alike and we don't need to know what kind you have or what engine or what year or what planet you are from.

It could be a million things.Talk to a Mechanic or a Family friend that knows about cars.Good Luck

Timing belt,gear or chain is probably the problem.Re put the question giving some more details,brand,model etc.

you need some new spark plugs and ajust the timming and the carbouratore and that should take care of things

It could be out of timing or it could be fouled spark plugs or even to much fuel in cylinder.
