I was just wondering what happened to the original Datsun Works 240z rally cars of the 70's. I hear of a lot of replicas but I havent heard of any of the actual rally cars still around today. I was wondering if they were owned by nissan, by museums, private collectors, a piece of steel in a coke can, or just lost in a barn somewhere.

I am not 100% sure what happened to the 240Z rally car, but the 510 rally car is in Nissan's museum in Japan. I would probably be safe to assume that it is in the same place. The rally cars were used only in other countries so I really don't think any of them would be in the US. Thats why you only see replicas here.

Actually Nissan Did not provide factory cars for racers like me back in the 1969-1973 seasons Many 510's rallied and a few 240Z Fairladys were out there. But the Alfa Romeo and Lancia factory teams really stormed past us. Ford Cortina and Capri were hot. With the Lotus head engine. Old Race cars are around BRE racing Z's And 510's are still vintage racing "IT class" at a track near you.

actual sure and no. many people have self belief the MPG decal on the window is real. this might and could no longer be. as quickly as wechronic on a flat highway with the wind to our backs we are able to get greater powerful mileage than going up hill into the wind. motor vehicle manufactures in all probability use a attempt music to get the window decal MPG and that they cover themselves by using asserting we would or won't get this MPG in accordance to our utilising situations. Now, back to the Datsun. With greater and greater emphasis being from the EPA automobiles are having greater little whirly gigs to grant greater powerful emissions, the is on the cost of mileage. I remember a chum of mine, his dad had a sort of Honda Civic 1980's automobiles that regarded like a Matchbox motor vehicle. It have been given super gas financial device, yet, it replaced into incredibly trouble-free. I merely experience we've 2 considerable themes with automobiles, MPG and Emissions, and we lose to a minimum of one to earnings for the different. utilising conduct consequence mileage plenty too and the area. As I mentioned earlier. So, in case you lived in a flat area with the Datsun and now stay in a Hill area this may additionally impact mileage. yet, this my opinion and there are others.
