Recently while travelling in Maine I started to pul out of the gas pumps at a public service station. A woman cut me off after quickly entering the parking lot from the street and cut across in front of me which resulted to my hitting her drivers side rear door as she came across my blind side. It appeared that she was moving faster then what would have been considered safe in a public parking lot. We mutually decided not to call the police to prevent insurance rates increases so we only exchanged names and phone numbers; no vehicle identfication or insurance information was given. After arriving home I have been informed by various friends that parking lot accidents are 50/50 for fault. We both had damage to our cars and she is claiming after one appraisal at a local body shop some 3 miles distant from her house that I should send her $1018 for damages. In addition the damage to my car is approximately $800 plus car rental during repairs. What should I do?

I have a little four cylinder, 5 speed manual transmission. I mostly drive on the highway, (a/c is always on- live in florida) averaging 65 mph or so. My average mpg has been 23.7- with very limited use of the cruise control because I really don't like to use it. My girlfriend does use it every time she drives the car. Does using cruise make a difference in mpg?

Only have Park, Reverse, Neutral, and Overdrive....Previous owners replaced transmission and now there's no LOW gear. I can shift the column to it, but it's still Overdrive....I also have to shift all the way down on the column, then back up to R for Reverse. Does anyone if this can be fixed or shall I just deal with not having a LOW gear and shift strangely? THANK YOU!

I ran through a mini flood in my 01 Jetta, now my CEL code is P0722 Speed sensor and P0722 gear ratio incorrect. It take a long time to switch into 2nd gear. How can I replace the speed sensor.

I am a 7 foot tall man with a 42 inch waist. Currently I drive an 86 buick century and I fit in it ok. I am thinking of getting a newer vehicle and wonder what make and model car I can fit in that gets 25mpg or more. Seems like all the cars made after the 80's have too narrow of seats therefore making my butt sore.

it has transmission built by mazda. has overdrive with lock-up. 5 out of 10 times, when trans shifts to 3rd gear it goes into neutral. take my foot off gas and reaccelerate goes back into second. some times just coasting it will then shift. other times it will take up to ten miles of driving in second gear before it will shift. all other gears are fine.

The problem is, the metal connectors are surrounded by a larger plastic housing, so it is impossible to clean them with steel wool or something like that. I could maybe fit a q-tip in there, but that about it, not enough space to get a wire brush in there.

Police cars always seem to go just under 70mph on the motorway. Is that so you can overtake them without fear of being caught and then go back to doing 80+mph?

Age 41, Planning to Switch to Motorcycle in Marietta, GA. My reasoning:
1. Driven Motorcycle for about 12 years in my 20-early 30s (before I Migrated to USA) - No issues about driving skills
2. Plan to drive only in the City Roads (Home-Work ~9 miles City Roads). Dont plan driving on Freeway or Long distances
3. Save on High Gas costs
4. Love Motorcycle riding
Qs:
1. I hear it is a risk in US since Car drivers who dominate the road dont see a M/c... Not sure if this is the case for City Roads too.
2. Have a good Driving record in US for several years: -Any ball Park on what Insurance cost would be?
3.Looking for a used Motrorcycle : Advise me on the best make and Model - Budget 5K
4. Any other tip
