If your car leaked a lot of oil before you noticed it, and after driving it, I hate to say it, but lack of oil could have seriously damaged the engine. The vibrating is caused by the engine missing, (All cylinders not firing.)

If the oil leak if from the top (Valve cover gasket,) you are probably shorting out spark plug wires and causing it to miss (Not firing on all spark plugs).

Or, if the leak is interior and oil is getting into the combustion chambers, and shorting out the spark plugs, that would explain the problem.

I hope I have been of some help.

In the event the engine is severely damaged, if you want to keep the car, it would be a lot cheaper to find a replacement engine in an auto salvage yard and they may be able to install the engine for you, or find a mechanic to install it for you. This would be an engine that runs out of an auto that was wrecked. Or, you can go to auto zone and get an engine for a super low price. Wherever you go, be sure and ask them if they can recommend a mechanic who can do the job at a reasonable price.

This would be much less expensive than buying another car.

Good luck, and hope it is only something minor.

add oil if its not to late.If you had to add more than 3 quarts, your motor is history. Locate used engine in junkyard. Not that hard to swap.
